Types of Jumps


  • Long Jump - An athletic competition, the objective of which is to jump as far as possible.
  • Triple Jump - A hop, a skip and a jump quickly in that respective order. Like a long jump, the jump is into a sandpit with a run-up.
  • High Jump - The high jump is an athletic even that consist of jumping over a horizontal bar without the assistance of any mechanical device. The bar is raised as the event progresses and competitors are eliminated if they fail to jump over the bar without making it fall over.
