Football

Football is a game played with an elongated shaped ball. 11 players attempt to move the football toward the goal area by running and passing. While one team moves the football toward the goal area, the other attempts to prevent it. The team has four chances to get closer to this area. If the team does not go ten yards, they must turn the ball over to the opponent. If the team gets close to the goal area, but cannot make it in time, they may also kick the ball through a set of uprights for a field goal. It is usually played in four quarters of 15 minutes each, with a mandatory play stoppage 2 minutes before the end of the quarter in the second and fourth quarters.
